RPBS Mobyle portal - Terms of Use
Last updated: 04/03/2025
1. Introduction
Welcome to the Mobyle portal, a web-based bioinformatics platform jointly developed by the Institut Pasteur Biology IT Center and the Ressource Parisienne en Bioinformatique Structurale. The Mobyle portal hosts a variety of tools mainly focused on the structural bioinformatics field.
All computations are carried out in a fully automated fashion, meaning no manual inspection, curation, or other human intervention is performed on user-submitted data. For specific usage instructions and descriptions of individual tools, please refer to the documentation available in each tool’s help section.
The following Terms of Use govern your use of the Mobyle portal (hereafter referred to as "the Service"), including all available bioinformatics tools, computational resources, and storage infrastructure. By using the Service, you agree to abide by these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using it.
2. Access and Availability
- The Mobyle portal and its provided tools are freely accessible to all users without requiring authentication.
- Users may optionally create an account, which grants permanent access to their generated data, subject to storage availability.
- The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including its availability, accuracy, or reliability.
3. Data Processing and Retention
Without Authentication
- Data Retention: Generated results, including inputs, parameters, and timestamps, are stored on our servers for a maximum of 7 days. After this period, the data is permanently deleted.
- Data Access: Non-authenticated users can retrieve their data within 7 days.
With Authentication
Registered users have permanent access to their generated data, subject to storage resource availability.
